VOA Southeast’s Georgia Housing Support Program Earns Exceptional State Recognition

Volunteers of America Southeast’s Housing Support Program is celebrating three years of partnership with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, providing life-changing housing support across 31 counties in West-Central Georgia. Recently recognized with an outstanding fidelity score of 109 out of 120, the program continues to empower individuals living with serious mental illness through stable housing, advocacy, and person-centered care.

Looking Back on the 2024 Season of Caring: A Celebration of Community Impact

The 2024 Season of Caring’s 10 Caring Gifts initiative was truly extraordinary, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your steadfast support. Through the 10 Caring Gifts campaign, we were able to bring warmth, comfort, and joy to thousands of individuals and families in need. This included at-risk youth, foster children, homeless veterans, low-income seniors, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and many other community members across our region. With the help of over thirty partner organizations and churches, we were able to make a meaningful impact on countless lives.

Trenton, GA– On Thursday, July 18, 2024, VOA Southeast hosted the Celebrate Me Prom, for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Northwest Georgia, which took place at the beautiful Coal City Bluff from 5:00-8:00 pm. This special event was a resounding success thanks to the generous support of local businesses and community members.
