At Eagle’s Landing, VOA Southeast helps veterans build stability one step at a time.
Safe housing is the first step. However, lasting progress requires much more. Veterans also need daily essentials, health resources, and consistent support.
That is why community partners support veterans in powerful ways at Eagle’s Landing. Their support strengthens the work happening every day.

As a Direct Support Professional with VOA Southeast, Crystal Holifield recently received recognition on a national stage during ANCOR Connect ’26, held in April of this year. Crystal’s recognition reflects the meaningful impact of the care, support, and person-centered approach she brings to her work every day.

Behind the programs, services, and support that VOA Southeast provides every day is a foundation that has to work—systems, tools, and infrastructure that allow that work to happen consistently and effectively. Over the past several months, a group of students from the University of South Alabama’s School of Computing helped strengthen that foundation in a meaningful way. 

Jeffery is a valued employee at the Riverview Plaza Hotel, where his reliability and strong work ethic help keep operations running smoothly each day. Like many individuals with disabilities, finding the right fit in the workplace wasn’t always easy.

During The Hiller Companies’ annual Leadership Summit, leaders assembled Welcome Home Kits for veterans served by VOA Southeast who are transitioning into stable housing. VOA Southeast joined the effort, offering a firsthand look at how its programs support veterans and families across the Southeast.
