Local Community Partners Support Veterans at Eagle’s Landing

At Eagle’s Landing, VOA Southeast helps veterans build stability one step at a time.

Safe housing is the first step. However, lasting progress requires much more. Veterans also need daily essentials, health resources, and consistent support.

That is why community partners support veterans in powerful ways at Eagle’s Landing. Their support strengthens the work happening every day.

Recently, several local partners stepped forward to support Eagle’s Landing residents. Their generosity helps veterans build independence, secure housing, and move toward long-term stability.

VOA Southeast thanks Carolyn Owens and the Semmes Woman’s Club for their continued generosity. Their recent donation included essential housing supplies for Eagle’s Landing residents.

These items improve daily life in meaningful ways. They reduce stress, create comfort, and restore dignity. As a result, veterans can focus on bigger goals like employment, housing, recovery, and health.

Community Support Creates Stability

Deb Murph, Director of Eagle’s Landing, recently spoke with The Rotary Club of Mobile members about the program’s impact. She shared how stable housing and supportive services help veterans rebuild their lives.

She also highlighted how community partnerships strengthen that work.

During the event, Roosters Downtown presented a donation through its No Vets Left Behind initiative. Roosters has long supported Eagle’s Landing and local veterans.

No Vets Left Behind honors Lieutenant Colonel Mark E. Stratton II, an Air Force officer killed in Afghanistan while serving his country. The initiative was created to honor his legacy of service.

Each Memorial Day, No Vets Left Behind raises funds for organizations serving veterans. Those funds support veterans facing homelessness, housing instability, substance use, and recovery challenges.

As a result, veterans at Eagle’s Landing gain access to housing, resources, and critical support.

Strong Partnerships Build Stronger Futures

The Rotary Club of Mobile also made a donation in Deb’s honor to Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy. This important partner helps uninsured individuals access prescription medications.

That support matters deeply for Eagle’s Landing residents. Access to medication helps veterans manage health needs while building stability.

Each partnership fills an important need. Housing supplies create comfort. Donations strengthen services. Health resources support long-term progress.

Together, these contributions build a stronger support system for veterans.

Through transitional housing and supportive services, Eagle’s Landing helps veterans pursue lasting goals. These goals include permanent housing, employment, improved health, and greater independence.

Most importantly, the program meets veterans where they are. Then, it helps them move forward with dignity and purpose.

Community partners make that work stronger. They provide resources that support daily life and long-term success. Just as importantly, they remind veterans they are not alone.

VOA Southeast thanks the Semmes Woman’s Club, Rotary Club of Mobile, Roosters Downtown, No Vets Left Behind, and Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy.

Their generosity creates stability, dignity, and opportunity. Because community partners support veterans, more veterans can heal, recover, and thrive.
