VOA Southeast program residents, Denise Brock and Susanna Adkins, participated in the Dade Expo Jolly Holidays Market held at Dade County High School on December 2, 2023. This was the third annual event presented by Alliance for Dade in which local artists, crafters, and businesses were able to showcase and sell their goods and services while engaging with the community.

In March 2022, Lisa, a 53-year-old Georgia woman and veteran of the armed forces, and her son were on the verge of homelessness. With our help, Lisa was able to find a stable place to live within a few months and recover her and her husband’s military retirement benefits.

With transitional housing, VOA Southeast is able to offer homeless or at-risk veterans a temporary place to live so they can get the foothold they need to make progress.
