Gratitude in Action: Pilot Catastrophe’s Employee Funded Nonprofit Partners with VOA Southeast to Provide Thanksgiving Dinner for Veterans at Eagle’s Landing
Community Collaboration Brings Warmth and Gratitude to Veterans in Mobile, Alabama
Mobile, Alabama – November 16, 2023 As the Thanksgiving season unfolds, a heartwarming collaboration between Adjusters Give Back, a nonprofit funded by the compassionate employees of Pilot Catastrophe, and Volunteers of America Southeast has illuminated the spirit of gratitude in Mobile, Alabama. This year, the collaborative effort focuses on bringing joy and companionship to veterans residing at Eagle’s Landing, a 38-unit transitional housing community.
Eagle’s Landing, a beacon of hope for discharged veterans, offers temporary housing and tailored supportive services to those who have honorably served in the active military, naval, or air service. With an average stay of 9-12 months, veterans at Eagle’s Landing benefit from intensive case management encompassing counseling on housing, financial management, vocation, education, and daily living skills. The program extends support in transportation, VA and public benefits, healthcare, and legal services, providing a holistic approach to aid in the veterans’ transition.
One of the many highlights of this partnership is the annual Thanksgiving dinner sponsored by Adjusters Give Back, a gesture that goes beyond the plate to foster appreciation and camaraderie among the veterans. It is a testament to their dedication to ensure that the true meaning of the season—unity, shared meals, and gratitude—is felt by those who have sacrificed for our nation.
Adjusters Give Back, powered by the generous donations from the employees of Pilot Catastrophe, stands as a beacon of altruism. The nonprofit is committed to extending a helping hand to individuals, families, children, and community organizations through tangible goods, financial support, and volunteer activities. What sets Adjusters Give Back apart is their unique structure; funded solely by donations, they have the privilege of partnering with local businesses close to their hearts and families.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Pilot Catastrophe and Adjusters Give Back for their unwavering commitment to brightening the holiday season for the veterans at Eagle’s Landing. Their generosity goes beyond financial support; it embodies the essence of gratitude in action, showcasing the profound impact that can be achieved when communities, businesses, and nonprofits unite for a common cause.
In the midst of holiday preparations, let us be inspired by the example set here. May this collaborative effort serve as a reminder that, indeed, gratitude in action has the power to transform lives and create a ripple effect of positivity that extends far beyond the Thanksgiving dinner table.
