Living at Eagle’s Landing
Eagle’s Landing is a 38-unit transitional housing community in Mobile, AL where veterans who are experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of doing so can stay for up to two years while they work closely with VOA Southeast staff and case managers from the Department of Veterans Affairs to find long-term, stable housing. While residents can stay for up to two years, most stay at Eagle’s Landing for between 9 to 12 months before moving to a more permanent residence.
Comprehensive Support Services
Eagle’s Landing provides residents with comprehensive support services utilizing an intensive case management model. Support services for veterans at Eagle’s Landing include:
- Counseling and support for the housing search
- Financial management advice
- Vocational training
- Education and daily living skills
- Assistance obtaining transportation, health care, legal services, and VA and other public benefits.
Amenities
The complex is made up of first-floor quadruplex buildings with four efficiency apartments in each building, each with its own separate entrance.
The units are fully furnished and include
- Kitchen appliances
- Oak dining room
- Living room
- Furnished bedroom
- Bathroom
- Wheelchair accessible units available
Who’s Eligible
To be eligible for transitional housing, you must be a veteran of the armed forces who was honorably discharged and who is currently facing homelessness. You can find the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs’ guidelines for eligibility here.
