Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program

Homeless Veterans Reintegration ProgramHelping our Heroes

Offered in the following Georgia counties: Baldwin, Crisp, Houston, Laurens, Macon-Bibb, Muscogee, and Peach

The Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) is designed to support homeless veterans—and those at risk of homelessness—by helping them regain stability, rebuild confidence, and successfully re‑enter the workforce. Offered throughout Middle Georgia, including the counties of Baldwin, Crisp, Houston, Laurens, Macon‑Bibb, Muscogee, and Peach, the program provides comprehensive, individualized assistance to veterans facing significant barriers to employment and housing.

HVRP begins with outreach and needs assessment, ensuring that each veteran receives services tailored to their unique circumstances. Participants work closely with case managers who provide employment counseling, job training, skills enhancement, and job placement support. Transportation assistance is also available to help veterans access interviews, training programs, and essential appointments.

A key strength of HVRP is its strong network of community partnerships. The program connects veterans with local service providers, including Georgia Department of Labor veterans’ representatives, the VA Medical Center, local housing authorities, and a wide range of community‑based organizations. These collaborations ensure that veterans receive coordinated care that addresses both employment and housing needs.

Once a veteran secures employment, HVRP staff continue to provide follow‑up support to promote job retention and long‑term self‑sufficiency. The ultimate goal is to help veterans achieve stability, independence, and renewed purpose.
