Volunteers of America Southeast works with disadvantaged youth through partnerships with local government, schools, and churches. We provide summer camps and after-school programs for children in communities where these programs are not offered. Through our Helping Families Initiative, we help students who are suspended from school for truancy or other bad behaviors. We help them build productive futures, while improving the safety and learning environment for all students.
We provide classes in arts and crafts, recreation, music, Bible study, and educational tutoring. In the past five years alone, more than 20,000 children and youth have passed through these impactful programs.
